This converter can be built with stall speeds ranging from 2800 to over 4500rpm. We use a special clutch in this converter that has more surface area than even the larger 298MM converter and a special heavy duty dampener with hardened splines. This converter has a flash stall speed of up to 3200 rpm but drives like a much tighter converter.
This converter combines a 10 inch, fully furnace brazed bowl and turbine, hardened splines and drive hub incredibly strong sprag design, and anti- ballooning technology. It has billet steel heavy duty clutch plate and Heavy Duty damper combined with a performance clutch for solid, reliable lockup durability. The front cover is a machined billet component for reduced weight and unequaled strength. If you want all the performance of a high stall converter, but still require the low speed drivability of a lower stall converter than this is the converter you have been looking for. Fits all TH-700R4 and 93-98 model 4L60E without removable bellhousing. (Can also be built for 2004R applications and early 700R4 as part number PTGM15/258HS)
This is our 2800-3000 stall LS1 and LS2 torque converter for the 4L60E and 4L65E and 4L70E.

Available in 2600-2800 stall speed for applications that wish to retain light towing ability, this converter is a huge performance upgrade for light trucks with stock or mild cam upgrades or just bolt on performance mods. Makes a huge improvement in acceleration and still retains most factory tow capacities (though a large trans cooler is always recommended). Also good for supercharged applications that don’t require higher stall speeds but still need some help on the bottom end.

This is the same converter as the PTGM55/258 with the same stall speed and great build components but with a solid billet front cover and billet clutch piston with damper.
The clutch is oversized and has more surface area than the stock 300MM converter. Saves a few pounds over the Hybrid style and has greater overall strength due to it’s thickness and design which make it a better choice for NOS or Supercharged applications.
This is our strongest Torque converter for the 4L80E transmission and is available in stall speeds up to 4500rpm and applications up to 900HP.
This converter features a billet 1 piece front cover with pilots for GM V-8 engines as well as LS1 style engines. We use a special clutch design that not only has a greater clutch surface area than any other single piston 4L80E converter but will also work with GM ec3 programming. Hi–I installed (last year) your 2400-2600 stall converter in my LS1 corvette–It is a Calif smog legal hds/cam ’98 automatic—Approx 380 RWHP—I placed 4th at Vette Magic in the 11.50-12.50 class where there were 65 cars. It was the fastest class the track allowed at this event. When there were just 13 cars left, I had the only automatic–all were 6-speeds –all were either the new 505 HP Z06 or blown—Really a testiment to what a stall converter does to wake up a motor-Yours works flawlessly—At 1/2 the cost of those overpriced vigilantes’ and yanks—And the 2400-2600 is almost un-noticeable on the street–but mash the throttle and hold on !!!!
